Job Summary:

• The Senior Quality Inspector shall perform First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance with Aerospace Standard AS9102.
• The candidate will be reviewing FAIs packages in-office and will ensure the accuracy and completeness of all engineering design requirements records on the AS9102 forms.
• Confirmation that the First Article Inspection Record (FAIR) is accurate and completed for a part number or assembly and that all part, product, and characteristic accountability aspects are addressed prior to approval.
• There is no relocation available and there is no remote work available. It must all be done onsite.

Job Requirements:

• US Citizenship Required.
• Candidate must have knowledge and practical experience of the AS9102 standard.
• This should include at least 4-5 years of experience reviewing all aspects of first article packages in accordance with the standard, along with at least 5 years in quality.
• Experience of working within an engineering environment for a min of 3 years.
• Strong background in manufacturing in the aerospace or military /defense industries required.
• Practical experience inspecting aerospace components and assemblies is necessary as well as knowledge of applicable industry standards is highly desired.
• Must understand Purchasing documents, specifications, shop planning, drawings, 3D models and other technical instructions.
• Demonstrate knowledge of interpreting engineering drawings, CMM data, digital product definition interpretation
• Demonstrate evidence of product specific knowledge and experience as required
• Good communication skills, both written and oral.
• Must have proficient computer skills using Microsoft Word and Excel - Please bring your laptop (Windows or Apple-based) with you as your knowledge and ability to maneuver in a Windows environment will be evaluated.
• Experience with Net-Inspect software
