Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling or a related field, active School Counselor license and 1+ years School Counselor experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A school-based counseling opportunity is available for licensed professionals to provide essential mental health support to students throughout the current school year. This full-time contract position offers flexibility with caseloads tailored to your preferences, enabling you to deliver personalized and effective counseling services.

Location: Fairfax, VA
Schedule: Full-time, contracted for the current school year (ASAP through end of school year)
Duration: Contract

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students addressing academic, social, and emotional challenges
• Develop treatment plans and set measurable goals in collaboration with students, families, and school staff
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of counseling sessions and progress
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to create supportive learning environments
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student success plans

Qualifications and Experience:

• Must hold an active counseling license in good standing
• Previous experience working with children or adolescents in educational or clinical settings preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and staff
• Ability to manage caseloads based on individual preference and availability
