Job Summary: The Production Scheduler will be responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules to ensure timely completion of orders while optimizing resource use and production efficiency. This role plays a critical part in coordinating between various departments, including manufacturing, procurement, commercial, and planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of production processes, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. Core Responsibilities: Production Planning/Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed production Plans for the medium to long term horizon and translate it into the short-term schedule that aligns with customer demand and production capacities. Maintain and update the MRP with all plans. Adjust production plan and schedule based on material availability, machine capacity, labor constraints, and order priorities. Collaborate with the manufacturing and material planning team to resolve scheduling conflicts, material constraints, and delays. Track current capacities and head count and estimate future required capacities and headcount working with manufacturing. Manage and create reporting to give visibility to adherence and other KPI's/required information. Inventory Management: Monitor raw material inventory levels and coordinate with material planning to ensure availability for scheduled production. Track work-in-progress and finished goods to ensure alignment with production schedules and delivery timelines. Communication & Coordination: Act as the liaison between planning, production, procurement, and sales teams to communicate any changes in scheduling. Provide daily, weekly, and monthly production status updates to relevant stakeholders. Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze production data to identify potential delays and recommend solutions. Generate reports on production performance, including adherence to schedules and efficiency metrics. Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement improvements to scheduling systems and processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline production flow and improve lead times. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Experience: 2+ years of experience in production scheduling, manufacturing, or supply chain. Experience with scheduling software (e.g., SAP, ERP systems) is highly preferred. Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other production planning tools. Key Competencies: Problem-Solving: Ability to anticipate and solve production issues before they impact deadlines. Time Management: Efficiently manage multiple tasks and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment. Adaptability: Comfortable with shifting priorities and capable of quickly adjusting schedules in response to changing conditions. Team Collaboration: Works well with production teams, managers, and other departments to achieve common goals. Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
