Join to apply for the Director of Supply Chain role at Baptist Health - Central Alabama . Baptist Health is the largest healthcare system serving central Alabama, providing hospital-based and outpatient services to residents in Montgomery, Autauga and Elmore counties. Summary The Director, Supply Chain shall be responsible to direct and manage the Supply Chain functions for Baptist Health’s purchasing, inventory management, and courier service. The Director will develop, implement, and monitor Supply Chain network goals and objectives to most effectively integrate the technical and human resources for support of the system. This individual will manage several million dollars in annualized supply expenses and capital expenditures. The Director will also plan, organize, and oversee activities in the areas and services of Sourcing, Contracting, Value Analysis, Distribution and Information Systems. Additionally, the Director will work directly with leadership to assure expectations of service are exceeded at each entity and alignment with Supply Chain initiatives. Education/Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Health Administration required, Master’s degree preferred. At least 10 years hospital supply chain experience and 5 years leadership experience required, preferably with multi-hospital supply chain experience. Involvement with receiving, storage, and distribution activities. Licensure/Certification None Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Thorough knowledge of savings reporting and 3rd party analytics and benchmarking programs Excellent organizational skills. Strong analytical skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain a professional and customer centric composure in difficult or challenging situations. Ability to work from broad directions and be self-motivated.
