Hours per school: a minimum of 6 meetings per year plus administration requirements (typically up to 15 hours per term). Pay: £13.26 per hour (plus an annual cost of living award), claimed termly. To start as soon as possible. A fantastic opportunity has arisen at Mead Vale Primary School and Milton Park Primary School for a clerk to the Local Governing Body (LGB). You can apply to cover both schools, or just one of the schools (please specify this in your application). The clerk is a key contributor to the effectiveness of the LGB and works closely with the headteacher and chair of governors to ensure the smooth running and organisation of the LGB. Previous clerking experience in the education sector would be an advantage in this role but not essential as training can be given. You will need excellent organisational skills and be proficient in IT with the ability to use a variety of applications. Strong attention to detail with good grammar and literacy skills for writing agendas and accurate minutes is essential. The clerk is a part-time role requiring flexibility and the availability to attend meetings in person, which are usually held on a weekday evening. The role provides an opportunity for some working from home to complete the administration elements of the role and typing up of meeting minutes. This could be an excellent opportunity if you are looking to do a few extra hours alongside your current role. Mead Vale and Milton Park Primary Schools are part of the Extend Learning Academies Network (ELAN) and we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, expecting all staff to share this commitment. This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and satisfactory references. Please note that you will not be an employee of Extend Learning Academies Network; therefore, any obligations for tax and national insurance will be the responsibility of the post holder. We are unable to provide sponsorship for this role under the Home Office Skilled Worker visa route. As we are unable to sponsor anyone requiring a visa for this role, candidates must therefore be able to provide their own right to work in the UK. Extend Learning Academies Network (ELAN) is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. All appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure and satisfactory references. We will be undertaking an appropriate online search for shortlisted candidates. It is an offence to apply for a role that requires regulated activity if you are barred from doing so. Any concerns will be reported immediately to the appropriate body. Our safeguarding policy is available on the school website. #J-18808-Ljbffr Milton Park
