The Illinois Department of Public Health is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as Chief Accountability Officer for IDPH. Performs highly responsible and sensitive policy making functions to ensure the Agency’s grant programs comply with the Grant Accountability and Transparency Act and Administrative Rules and Regulations. As policy formulating administrator, with full authority to commit the Agency to specific courses of action, directs and implements a comprehensive agency wide grant accountability program. Represents the Director at meetings and makes decisions committing the Agency’s resources to specific courses of action. Drafts reports concerning State and Federal financial assistance activities. Establishes and maintains a systematic process for notifying the public of grant programs and the life cycle of a grant award. Reviews single audits and their supporting documents submitted by IDPH sub-grantees. Serves as supervisor.
