Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for Business Analyst with Physical Metals Trading & Risk experience, for a contract assignment with one of our premier financial clients in mid-town, NYC. You must be in the office 2-3 days/week . Looking for experience in precious metals OR base metals. Responsibilities: Work with Traders, Quants and Technology partners to define scope and capture business requirement for Metal financial, physical trading, leasing and inventory financing . Collaborate with Technology development and delivery managers to estimate work effort, cost, plan delivery and prioritize features and trade-offs. Work with Risk, Operation and downstream system owners to capture and implement trade, operations, risk and accounting lifecycles. Develop and execute test cases and secure stakeholder approvals. Hands-on experience with SQL/python like scripting required. Support production , provide coverage during off-peaks hours as needed. Perform BA activities to support Openlink Endur projects/enhancements to help sustain and build the precious metals physical trading capabilities. Interact directly with precious metal (e.g., gold) stakeholders including traders and front office personnel. You will sit on the trading floor. Required Skills: Strong IT Business Analyst skills. Recent and strong experience supporting Metal/physicals trading in an Investment Bank/Capital Markets firm. Precious or Base Metals physical trading experience. Understanding of front-to-back physical metals trade flow including physical delivery, vaults, lease, inventory systems, etc. Knowledge of trade booking and processing, cash management, balances, pricing, risk, etc. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in dealing with front office, operations and IT groups. Must be a self-starter and be able to operate independently within a team distributed globally. Highly analytical, proactive and detail oriented. Preferred Skills: Precious metals experience is highly preferred. Experience supporting Openlink Endur is optional only if the candidate has strong Metal/Physical/Lease expertise.
