Body Shop Remote Estimator

We are currently interviewing for a position of body shop estimator. This is a remote position out of Toyota of Grand Rapids location.

Prefer an experienced candidate, but will train the right person.

Experience with CCC One is a plus.

Experience with DealerTrack is also a plus.

body shop estimator's job duties include:

• Inspecting vehicles : Assessing the extent of damage to the vehicle's body, interior, mechanical, and structural components 

   

• Calculating costs : Estimating the cost of labor, parts, and other repairs 

   

• Communicating with customers : Informing customers of repair updates, negotiating costs, and communicating with insurance adjusters and technicians 

   

• Researching market trends : Keeping up with industry standards and repair techniques 

   

• Preparing estimate records : Writing repair estimates that meet industry standards and follow insurance and fleet management guidelines 

   

Forwarding reports to insurance companies : Sending reports to insurance companies as required 

Monitoring repair status : Tracking the status of repairs, completion timelines, and transportation 

Reviewing guidelines : Reviewing guidelines from vehicle manufacturers and insurance companies 

Making repair decisions : Determining what repairs are necessary and whether to repair or replace parts 

Coordinating work : Ensuring repairs are completed as quickly as possible 

Body shop estimators should have strong reasoning skills, be able to understand and interpret written and oral instructions, and be able to perform basic math. They should also have excellent organizational skills, be detail-oriented, and be able to handle pressure while maintaining accuracy.
