About the Role
The Company is seeking individuals to join its board of directors. The board's primary function is to manage the organization on behalf of its members, ensuring the long-term sustainability and governance of the institution. This includes setting the company's direction and strategy, establishing policies to deliver its mission, and ensuring that the organization has sufficient resources. The board is also responsible for the day-to-day management of the company, which is delegated to the CEO. The role is voluntary and unremunerated, though certain travel expenses may be paid. The ideal candidates for the board of directors at the company should have a background in management, fundraising, and/or partnership-building, and be knowledgeable about and interested in the work of the company. They must also have a firm awareness and understanding of the architectural, not-for-profit, and cultural sectors. The company is particularly interested in early-career candidates who can bring a fresh perspective and new skills to the board. Board members are elected by the members and must not have any conflicts of interest that could interfere with their ability to serve.
