Washburn Center for Children is a leading children’s mental health center, caring for a wide variety of children’s needs associated with anxiety, depression, behavioral difficulties and trauma.

Washburn Center for Children serves nearly 4,800 children ages 0-18 and approximately 11,000 family members each year. Washburn Center’s three office locations – Brooklyn Park, Edina, and Minneapolis – serve the entire Twin Cities metro area. The nonprofit also offers in-home services, and its school-based program serves 55+ schools in the Eden Prairie, Bloomington, District 191, Columbia Heights and Minneapolis school districts.

Washburn Center has an opening for a full time Outpatient Therapist at our Minneapolis Office. This position will provide mental health assessment and treatment services to children and families in English and Spanish.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Clinical Treatment - Clinicians will provide a combination of the following mental health services, including:
* Conduct diagnostics assessments
* Develop and implement a treatment plan with the family based on the diagnosis
* Provide Individual and family therapy
* Care coordination, including collaboration with psychiatrists and other professionals working with the child
* Create a discharge plan

Clinician’s client service expectations will be determined based on the full-time expectation on 22.65 billable sessions per week.

Documentation - Clinicians will be expected to maintain required documentation as specified in our Clinical Policy Manual, including:
* Diagnostics assessments
* Treatment plans for each client
* Progress notes
* Outcome instruments and assessment tools
* Discharge summaries
* Satisfaction surveys
* Timely response of communications from the program director, the supervisor, or program support to ensure clear communication throughout the program

All clinicians are to ensure Minnesota and HIPAA data privacy requirements are followed.

Supervision and Professional Development - Clinicians are expected to:
* Attend weekly supervision and case consultation, present case information and formulation, and identify questions for consultation and supervision.
* Provide clinical and administrative supervision for interns as assigned by the program supervisor based on licensure and experience, and assist with providing training, feedback, and learning experiences for the program interns.
* Maintain required CEUs.

Requirements for position:
Must have a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, marriage and family or clinical counseling.
Independent licensure as LICSW, LPCC, LP, or LMFT preferred.
3-5 years of experience assessing and treating children and families required; 5 or more years of experience preferred
Strong skills in children’s mental health diagnostic assessment and treatment
Demonstrated knowledge of cultural diversity and the role of culture in the therapeutic process
Bilingual (Fluency in English and Spanish)

Vacation: Paid Vacation accrues at 10 hours of vacation per month - up to 15 days / 120 hours annually.
Sick Leave: Paid sick leave accrues at 6.68 hours of sick per month - up to 10 days / 80 hours.
Holidays: There are 2.5 days/20 hours of floating holidays per year in addition to the eight standard holidays.
