About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate Vice Chancellor for Finance to lead a critical division that supports the institution's growth and mission. The successful candidate will be responsible for the direct supervision and oversight of business service functions, including financial services, procurement services, and the Bursar's office. This hands-on role requires a leader who can engage in day-to-day operations, ensure the highest level of service and support for the university community, and maintain accountability and transparency in the management of financial resources. The AVCF will also be involved in strategic planning, provide direction for financial and business affairs policies, and serve as the university's official for student appeals related to fees and account balances. Applicants for the Associate Vice Chancellor for Finance position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years' professional experience in accounting or financial management. A Master's degree and a CPA license are preferred. The role demands a thorough understanding of higher education administration, the ability to provide leadership to diverse groups, and strong organizational, interpersonal, and supervisory skills. The ideal candidate will have experience with Workday and/or Ellucian Banner Systems, and be adept at financial analysis, reporting, and strategic financial planning. Excellent communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills are essential, as is the ability to work within state and federal laws and institutional policies.
