The opportunity 

As an Associate Buyer within our Procurement team, you will be responsible for assisting the Senior Buyers with monitoring inventory levels, creating and managing purchase order placement, ensuring timely delivery of goods, managing the approved supplier list and tracking material. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to providing procurement support to other departments, managing the availability of critical parts, supporting engineering requirements, controlling inventory, and providing customer service support to Magic Leap's remote facilities.

Location:This role is based in Plantation, Florida, and offers a hybrid schedule with occasional on-site requirements for meetings and collaboration. Relocation assistance may be available for candidates interested in relocating to the area.

What you’ll do 

• Monitor and follow up on purchase orders, blocked invoices, and non-fulfilled orders to ensure timely deliveries.
• Maintain and distribute the Approved Vendor List.
• Assist the Sr. Buyer with 3PL purchase orders, inventory management, and shipping coordination.
• Support departments in adhering to purchasing procedures and resolving procurement issues.
• Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and documentation as required.
• Manage key performance indicators (KPIs) and track transportation requests.
• Create, process, and manage indirect purchase orders in SAP.
• Conduct supplier and material analysis to optimize procurement strategies.
• Assist with slow-moving product reports, material shipping requirements, and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally between buying and operations to ensure efficient procurement processes.

The experience you bring

• 5 years of procurement experience 
• High School Diploma or GED 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides, Drive).
• Experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment
• Strong collaboration skills with internal teams and external partners.
• Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, and systems.
• Strong analytical skills, including mathematical calculations and reconciliation.
• Proactive self-starter with a results-driven mindset.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

It’s exciting if you also have

• Additional training in Procurement, supply chain management, or business administration
• Experience with SAP 
• Six Sigma or APEX certification
• Purchasing experience in a manufacturing setting

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. In addition to salary, Magic Leap offers a discretionary bonus, equity, and a fully comprehensive benefits package for eligible employees.

US Hourly Salary Range

$24—$33 USD
