  • WordPress Expertise: Deep knowledge of theme structure, template hierarchy, custom post meta, the block editor, and best practices like data sanitization and internationalization.
  • Custom Development Skills: Ability to build custom blocks, extend existing ones, and write plugins from scratch.
  • Performance Optimization: Experience analyzing and resolving performance issues, especially those tied to Google’s Core Web Vitals.
  • Front-End Skills: Proficiency in JavaScript (React and jQuery), PHP, HTML, and Sass.
  • Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with Git version control (Gitflow branching), command-line tools, and build processes (Gulp/Webpack).
  • WooCommerce Ecosystem: Knowledge of WooCommerce and its ecosystem.
  • Collaboration: Experience documenting work and ensuring projects are ready for team collaboration.
  • Technical Infrastructure: Familiarity with tools like MariaDB, Nginx, Redis, and Cloudflare.
  • Design-to-Code Mastery: Competence in translating Figma designs into responsive, high-quality WordPress themes.

WHAT YOUR DAY LOOKS LIKE
As a developer at SiteCare, your day-to-day work is diverse and rewarding. Expect to:

  • Work on 1–4 tasks daily, depending on complexity, including feature development, Core Web Vitals optimization, advanced troubleshooting, and Figma-to-WordPress builds.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results for our clients.
  • Solve complex problems with critical thinking and creativity.

If you’re a master problem-solver who thrives on variety, this role is for you.

At SiteCare, we work with cutting-edge technologies to deliver top-tier results. You should be familiar with:

  • Languages: JavaScript (React, jQuery), PHP, Sass.
  • Build Tools: NPM, Gulp, Webpack.
