This Opportunity:

• Collaborate with the civil engineering team to develop project plans and designs, with a primary focus on civil engineering design and plan preparation.
• Work on projects ranging from transportation safety improvements, to new developments or habitat restorations.
• Utilize Open Roads Designer software to create technical drawings and assist in design modifications.
• Assist in the preparation of comprehensive technical reports and project documentation.
• Conduct field observations to evaluate the progress and quality of construction projects.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations during the design and plan preparation stages.
• Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to address design- and construction-related issues and resolve conflicts.
• Monitor project timelines to ensure efficient completion of design-related tasks.
• Stay updated on industry advancements and best practices in civil engineering design and plan preparation.

Essential Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient in using Open Roads Designer software.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Some knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and techniques.
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and at construction sites.
• Capable of lifting and carrying heavy equipment and materials.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Technician in Civil Engineering.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and techniques.
