As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage end-to-end warehousing operations for our customers. By doing so with precision, you not only contribute to the success of your team, but also to the day-to-day operations and success in the warehouse and distribution centres. For example, storing and delivering delicate flowers and fresh ingredients to local stores for everyday lunches and family celebrations. As a Picker/Packer, you will report to a Supervisor and work from a pick or pack list to determine which items need to be sent out, ensure items are free of damage, stack items safely and securely in the right packaging, and use carts or manual pallet jacks to move materials throughout the distribution facility. You will work Monday - Thursday, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM. The hourly pay rate is $20.87 with a weekly pay.

How you create impact

  • Inspect, weigh, and label packages; ensure they are free of damage
  • Assemble daily orders by shipping location or any other shipping categories
  • Fill out packing and order forms; seal and label shipping containers
  • Use material handling equipment
  • Follow health and safety policies that comply with company and OSHA regulations
  • Work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

What we would like you to bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of recent experience in a warehousing or distribution environment
  • Can lift up to 50 pounds
  • Can add and subtract and count by ones, fives, and tens unaided
  • Can walk or stand for extended periods of time while wearing steel-toe or composite-toe shoes
  • Can read and comprehend English unaided
