Job Description

Blue Star Press, an independent publishing company, is hiring a Warehouse and Fulfillment Lead to support Chalkfulloflove (CFL), a boutique brand specializing in hand-lettered gifts, as well as warehouse operations for other areas of the business. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an organized environment, enjoys working with a team, and is looking for an opportunity to take ownership of a growing operation.

This is not a traditional warehouse job—you don’t need previous warehouse experience, but you do need a strong track record of organization, problem-solving, and leadership. If you’ve managed projects, coordinated logistics, or run operations in any capacity, we’d love to hear from you.

This is a small, collaborative team—you’ll be one of three full-time employees at Chalkfulloflove, though the other two focus on different areas of the business. You'll also work closely with the Blue Star Press team as the warehouse supports both brands.

What You’ll Do

Oversee Warehouse Operations

• Ensure products from Chalkfulloflove and Blue Star Press are received, stored, and shipped efficiently.
• Organize warehouse inventory and implement systems that keep things running smoothly.
• Look for ways to improve workflows and make fulfillment more efficient.

Manage Inventory & Order Fulfillment

• Track inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock.
• Learn and use warehouse software (training provided!) to manage shipping and reporting.
• Coordinate shipments with vendors and customers to ensure on-time delivery.

Lead a Small, Efficient Team

• Hire, train, and support part-time or seasonal warehouse staff as needed.
• Create a clear, organized, and positive work environment.
• Plan ahead for busy seasons and ensure extra help is in place when needed.

Prioritize Safety & Organization

• Keep the warehouse clean and safe for everyone.
• Follow and enforce workplace safety guidelines.
• Identify and resolve potential hazards quickly.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in organization and logistics —whether in retail, event planning, operations, project management, or another structured environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to create efficient processes.
• A self-starter who takes ownership and works well independently.
• Comfortable with technology and willing to learn new software .
• Someone who is a culture fit —team-oriented, adaptable, and excited to be part of a growing company.
