Aeon for Ocean is a U.S.-based, volunteer run nonprofit founded by 7-year-old Aeon in Minnesota, to share knowledge about marine life, the oceans, and our role in protecting this planet. Our focus is on helping inland communities understand why the ocean matters and identify things they can do to protect the ocean. Through our Krill2Whale program and other initiatives, Aeon for Ocean is teaching kids they can save the World Ocean for eons! , Aeon for Ocean is currently in need of experienced HR Manager volunteer to guide and manage the Human Resources tasks, services, policies, and programs for the organization. Responsibility Creating, revising job descriptions and placing job ads Developing, revising, and recommending personnel policies and procedures Maintaining company directory and other organizational charts Responsible for communications with volunteer candidates, including sending and requesting applications, conducting interviews, and processing new hires. Responsible for maintaining accurate candidate files, including resumes, applications and signed documents required for new hires. Compliance with our standardized recruitment practices and procedures. Be sensitive to the needs of candidates as well as team members. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in full cycle recruitment. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Google Apps. Excellent verbal, interviewing and written communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Creative thinker who is self-motivated. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Eagerness to continuously learn and develop business acumen. Requires self-direction, tact, diplomacy and a clear, courteous and professional manner when dealing with the public. Must demonstrate effective oral communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with staff inside and outside of the department.
