About the Role
The Company is seeking a Permanent Director of Affordable Housing Compliance to join their team. This critical role is responsible for managing the affordable housing portfolio, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and developing strategies for the acquisition, development, and preservation of affordable housing. The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance, at least 5 years of experience in affordable housing or a related field, and extensive knowledge of low-income housing tax credits, USDA Rural Development, and Housing and Urban Development. Responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of regulatory reporting, leading a team of compliance professionals, and collaborating with other departments and external stakeholders to align affordable housing initiatives with strategic goals. The ideal candidate for this role will have a Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field, with a Master's degree or advanced degree preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is a commitment to providing affordable housing solutions to those in need. The role requires the ability to navigate complex regulatory and compliance issues and to stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations related to affordable housing, ensuring the organization adapts accordingly.
