What you will be doing

• Organizing materials, equipment, and learning spaces for workshops and sessions.
• Assisting academic staff with various tasks.
• Engaging with students to facilitate and monitor their involvement.
• Managing schedules and ensuring smooth transitions between sessions.
• Receiving mentorship from leaders revolutionizing K-12 education.

What you will NOT be doing

• Staying on the sidelines: You will be actively involved, supporting students rather than merely observing.
• Being overwhelmed: You won't be expected to lecture, lead classes, or provide emotional coaching—that's the Guide's role.
• Engaging in meaningless work: This role is far from a typical part-time job. You'll contribute significantly to children's growth and success, making your time truly valuable.

Key Responsibilities

Assist Guides in fulfilling Alpha's promises to students by ensuring academic achievement, developing life skills, and instilling a passion for learning.

Candidate Requirements

• Available to work onsite at our Austin, Bastrop, or Brownsville campus.
• Commit to at least 10 hours per week with the option to work up to 30 hours, depending on your availability, during school hours (Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM).
• Experience working with children
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Friendly and approachable demeanor suitable for working with kids.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for visa sponsorship.
