• End Date: November 28, 2024\n
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks\n
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week\n
• Shift Options: Variable – 3x12 hour shifts or 4x10 hour shifts preferred\n
• On Call: 1 weekend day (24 hr) in a 6-week rotation, plus weekday call\n
• Flexible Scheduling: Yes\n
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1930-$2070\n

\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n

\n
• Active RN license (Registered Nurse, New York nursing jobs)\n
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care nursing experience\n
• Preoperative nursing experience preferred\n
• Experience with Meditech preferred (not required)\n
• Peripheral nerve block experience preferred\n
• Pediatric nursing experience (age 6 months and older) preferred\n
• BLS certification required\n

\n\nRegistered Nurse Responsibilities\n

\n
• Deliver patient care in both Phase I and Phase II recovery within the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU)\n
• Manage a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio, including simultaneous care of two Phase I patients\n
• Care for pediatric and adult patients undergoing diverse procedures (ENT, orthopedic, general surgery, neurosurgery, plastics, urology, gynecology, and more)\n
• Assist in recovery of ICU and endoscopy (MAC) patients\n
• Support local procedures such as thoracentesis, paracentesis, and minor orthopedic interventions\n
• Provide nursing care for both inpatient and outpatient procedures, including elective, urgent, and emergent cases\n
• Document patient care using Meditech and paper charting as needed\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes\n
• Participate in scheduled on-call rotations\n
