Position Overview The Structural Steel Detailing Project Manager is responsible for the successful execution of steel detailing projects from initiation through completion. This role requires strong leadership, proactive project management, and outstanding client relationship skills to ensure deliverables meet technical specifications, deadlines, and budgetary requirements. The Project Manager will serve as the main point of contact for clients, coordinate internal teams, and drive continuous process improvements. Key Responsibilities Project Management Manage tasks in accordance with company standards and policies. Review and process items such as Advance Bill of Materials (ABMs), Issued for Approval (IFAs), Returns from Approval (ROAs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and possible Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) when project scope is modified. Prepare and review task estimates. Monitor and report progress, ensuring deadlines are met. Client Management Participate and engage in client kick‑off meetings. Act as the main point of contact throughout the project lifecycle. Report and document scope changes. Communication & Coordination Facilitate and encourage collaboration across departments to ensure project success. Keep the project team focused on the end goal. Coordinate with modelers, checkers, and other stakeholders. Communicate progress and challenges to clients and internal teams. Participate and engage in BIM coordination meetings. Quality Control Ensure all deliverables meet technical specifications. Validate revisions, corrections, and final submissions. Risk Management Proactively identify and report project risks. Leadership and Team Management Discuss and implement standards for project execution and quality. Participate in performance reviews and talent development initiatives. Client & Stakeholder Relations Follow up with customers regarding priorities, choices, and expectations. Identify and report all issues that may result in scope changes or rework. Process Optimization Monitor and enforce improvements to project workflows and delivery processes. Monitor and enforce use of project management tools (e.g., schedules, scorecards, tasks). Financial & Resource Planning Oversee junior staff and teams to ensure work continues on budget and on schedule. Risk & Quality Governance Ensure adherence to JITECH's internal workflows, quality standards, and client requirements across projects. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Proven experience managing structural steel detailing projects. Strong knowledge of steel detailing processes, BIM, and project management methodologies. Excellent English writing and communication abilities, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with clients. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
