Structural Steel Detailer – Full-Time (In-House)
Local Candidates Only | Monday–Thursday, 6 AM – 4:30 PM
We’re seeking a highly motivated Structural Steel Detailer to join a fast-paced fabrication team working on a range of exciting commercial and residential projects. This is a local, in-house position offering full-time hours and excellent benefits. If you're detail-oriented, collaborative, and passionate about steel design, this opportunity is for you!
What You’ll Do:
Create 3D models and detailed fabrication and erection drawings based on architectural and structural plans
Use Tekla Structures (or other BIM software—training provided for Tekla)
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and general contractors to achieve design goals
Interpret design drawings and convert them into accurate shop-ready detail
Review and revise designs based on project feedback and evolving needs
Ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications throughout all drawings
What We’re Looking For:
1+ year of experience in structural steel detailing (required)
Familiarity with Tekla Structures preferred (or SDS2, Revit, AutoCAD with willingness to learn Tekla)
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
Excellent communication and organizational skills
A solid understanding of structural steel systems and detailing practices
Self-driven with the ability to work independently and within a team
Schedule:
Four 10-hour shifts (Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
