We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Staff/Senior Property Accountant to join our team in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will manage financial operations for assigned properties, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to meet both internal and external requirements. Responsibilities:
• Maintain and analyze accrual-based general ledgers for assigned properties, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and post journal entries, calculate monthly accruals, and update backup schedules for balance sheets.
• Investigate and resolve issues related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash receipts.
• Reconcile monthly bank statements and review reconciliations completed by other team members.
• Prepare detailed monthly income statement analyses and reconcile balance sheet accounts in accordance with reporting deadlines.
• Review financial reconciliations and reports prepared by entry-level accounting staff to ensure accuracy.
• Reconcile corporate credit card transactions and process related entries on a monthly basis.
• Calculate and record intercompany charge-outs and biweekly payroll journal entries.
• Manage corporate payables and ensure timely processing of all payments.
• Mentor and support accounting team members, fostering skill development and collaboration.• Proven experience in accrual-based accounting, including maintaining general ledgers and preparing journal entries.
• Strong knowledge of month-end close processes, account reconciliation, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in bank reconciliations and the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Familiarity with intercompany transactions, payroll journal entries, and corporate payables.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (e.g., advanced formulas, pivot tables).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate across teams and support less experienced staff.
