Sourcing Lead to support our client, a leading manufacturer in the powersports and automotive sector. This role is part of the On-Road team, focusing on innovative vehicle platforms. The ideal candidate will bring strong supplier management skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to navigate complex sourcing strategies in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment.
Job Description As a Sourcing Lead, you will be responsible for executing commodity strategies and managing supplier relationships to ensure alignment with delivery, quality, cost competitiveness, and new product integration goals. You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and procurement teams to support product development and production continuity.
Key Responsibilities: - Develop and manage supplier relationships, including executing supply agreements and long-term contracts.
- Lead RFQ processes for new parts and revisions, aligned with commodity strategy.
- Evaluate supplier capabilities and fit within the broader sourcing strategy.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives, supplier transitions, and tooling changes.
- Monitor supplier performance across quality, delivery, and capacity metrics.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.
- Conduct make vs. buy analyses and prepare sourcing proposals.
- Collaborate across departments to support vehicle development and production.
- Present sourcing strategies and updates to leadership teams.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements Required Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a technical field.
- 4+ years of experience in purchasing, sourcing, sales, or engineering.
- Strong technical aptitude; ability to understand engineering documentation and technical data.
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and supplier engagement.
- Proven negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Comfortable working in ambiguous environments with minimal guidance.
- Experience with MRP systems (MAPICS preferred) and web-based business tools.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and presenting to leadership teams.
Preferred Qualifications: - APICS CPIM or ISM C.P.M./A.P.P. certification.
- Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies.
- Experience in cost modeling and competitive market analysis.
Working Conditions - Hybrid work model (3 days in-office).
- Up to 15% travel may be required.
