Responsibilities:

• Comprehensive Financial Management: Oversee billing, accounts receivable/payable, cost accounting, and revenue recognition. Manage general ledger and the full accounting cycle (month-end/year-end close, reconciliations).
• Financial Reporting: Preparation of financial statements and reports for stakeholders, including executives and ownership.
• Project Accounting: Focus on construction-specific financial tasks such as tracking project costs, analyzing expenses, and handling tax-related matters within the industry.
• Leadership and Coordination: Lead the accounting team, mentor staff, coordinate complex projects, and oversee compliance with GAAP principles and internal controls.
• External Compliance: Work with auditors and ensure the company meets all legal and tax obligations.
• Process Improvement: Contribute to the development and enhancement of accounting systems, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Experience : Requires 8-10 years of experience, with 5 years in a senior role. Experience in construction accounting is highly preferred.
• Education : A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills, along with proficiency in ERP systems and accounting software.

Certifications (Preferred but not mandatory):

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation.
