The Senior Epic Analyst is a subject matter expert in Epic systems, responsible for leading complex projects, providing advanced technical support, and mentoring junior analysts. This role involves in-depth analysis, design, and implementation of Epic system solutions to optimize workflows, enhance patient care, and improve operational efficiency. The Senior Epic Analyst serves as a key resource for troubleshooting complex issues and driving system improvements. Responsibilities include providing end-user support, analyzing and diagnosing system problems, partnering with vendors to troubleshoot and improve product performance, addressing technical issues during installation and maintenance, designing and supporting applications, translating technical requirements into development specifications, evaluating system updates and upgrades, participating in implementations and continuous improvement initiatives, conducting system testing and quality assurance, developing and maintaining documentation and training materials, partnering with clinical staff and IT professionals to ensure system compatibility and performance, leading cross-functional application initiatives, maintaining vendor certifications, supporting system integrations, and assisting with after-hours activities such as go-lives and upgrades. The role requires comprehensive knowledge and mastery of advanced concepts, with high complexity and decision-making autonomy. Communication, adaptability, critical thinking, dependability, and initiative are key attributes. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, at least three years of related experience (or seven years equivalent combination of education and experience), and two or more Epic Certifications from a specified list.
