Job Description

  • Set-up and conduct experiments in accordance with Protocol and SOP's.
  • Efficiently carry out procedures necessary to complete each project with minimal supervision.
  • Prepare test solutions and diets in accordance with directions.
  • Perform Dose administration, mating procedures, c-section and fetal evaluations.
  • Collect blood, urine, fecal and tissue specimens in accordance with standard operating procedures and protocols.
  • Meticulously maintain precise records of all experiments in accordance with good laboratory practices.
  • Assist in writing of reports.
  • Follow all PSL safety requirements.
  • Ability to safely wear a respirator required
  • Other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate would possess :

  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in rodent reproductive toxicology or equivalent in vivo background.
  • Familiar with ICH guidelines particularly for reproductive toxicology in rodents and rabbits
  • Direct experience performing in-life observations and reproductive developmental assessment in rodents and rabbits 
  • Direct experience performing fetal and juvenile post-mortem evaluations 
  • Bachelor's degree in laboratory animal medicine, toxicology, animal science or biology is preferred, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)

Additional Information



Position is full-time, 40 hours a week, weekend rotation needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of South Brunswick Township, NJ are encouraged to apply.

Compensation will be based on the level at which the candidate is hired. The salary range for a Reproductive Toxicology Scientist offers a range of $70,000 to $95,000 depending on level of experience and skill set.
