School Nurse (LPN/LVN) - Travel Position
Location: Federal Way, WA
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 39 weeks
Shift: 5x8s Days, Nights
Pay: $1931/week
Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Nurse (LPN/LVN) to provide high-quality healthcare services to preschool students. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting student well-being, promoting a healthy school environment, and collaborating with faculty, families, and healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide routine and emergency nursing care to students during the school day.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Perform suctioning and g-tube feeding as needed.
Monitor student health conditions and respond appropriately to medical needs.
Maintain accurate health records and communicate with parents, guardians, and healthcare providers.
Educate students and staff on health practices, safety, and wellness.
Assist with care coordination and individualized healthcare plans.
Qualifications:
Active LPN/LVN license in WA
Previous experience in a school or pediatric care setting preferred
Spanish-speaking skills preferred
Ability to perform suctioning, medication administration, and g-tube feeding
Must be comfortable working in a middle school environment (no trach/vent cases currently, but may be needed in the future)
Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills
