Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) w/ Benefits- Harvest, AL

• Interpret classroom lessons, discussions, and school events into American Sign Language (ASL).
• Support students in understanding and participating in educational content.
• Provide interpretation during meetings, assemblies, and extracurricular activities.
• Collaborate with teachers to modify instructional materials for deaf or hard-of-hearing students.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards and ethics.
• Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

• Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (RID, NIC, or state certification).
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL).
• Experience in a school or educational setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and staff.
• Understanding of deaf culture and the needs of deaf or hard-of-hearing students.
