Job Title: SAP BASIS Consultant Location: Remote Primary Skills: SAP BASIS System Administration Secondary Skills: SAP Security Knowledge Job Description We are looking for an experienced SAP BASIS Consultant to join our Application Management Services (AMS) team. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall administration, maintenance, and smooth functioning of SAP systems across multiple environments. You will handle system performance, upgrades, patches, user and security administration, and ensure high availability of SAP applications in a production setup. The ideal candidate should have hands‑on experience with SAP NetWeaver, strong troubleshooting abilities, and a solid understanding of security concepts within SAP landscapes. Key Responsibilities Perform day-to-day SAP BASIS administration, including system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. Manage SAP system upgrades, enhancement packs, support packs, kernel upgrades, and version management. Handle client copies, system refreshes, backups, and restores across landscapes. Oversee transport management and ensure smooth movement of objects across DEV QA PROD. Ensure high availability and optimal performance of SAP ERP, SAP S/4HANA (if applicable), SAP NetWeaver, and related components. Work on user account management, role assignments, and basic SAP security administration. Coordinate with functional and technical teams to resolve system‑related issues. Manage integration between SAP and non‑SAP systems when required. Document procedures, maintain system logs, and support audit/compliance activities. Provide on‑call production support and participate in scheduled maintenance activities. Required Qualifications 5+ years of hands‑on experience in SAP BASIS administration. Strong knowledge of SAP NetWeaver, system landscapes, and architecture. Experience with system installations, migrations, patches, and upgrades. Good understanding of SAP Security concepts (roles, profiles, user admin). Working knowledge of HANA DB, Oracle, or other supported databases. Familiarity with Linux/Unix/Windows OS environments. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with cross‑functional teams. Preferred Qualifications Experience with SAP S/4HANA system administration. Exposure to Cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP) for SAP hosting. Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager (SolMan) for monitoring and change control. SAP BASIS or SAP HANA certification is a plus.
