What’s the opportunity The Sales Canvasser position functions as the sales department’s administrative support; appointment setter, logistics and liaison for clients. Assists with daily operation of the sales team, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow. Identifies revenue opportunities, qualifies and engages appropriate contacts, and drives leads through the sales pipeline. What will you do Help prospect for new customers and engage with existing customers on new offerings Mine the E-Automate database for customers that do not have an active MPS Agreement Telephone prospects to identify appropriate contacts, qualify and drive leads through the sales pipeline Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet sources, and other sources Hands-on involvement in marketing logistics, including quotes, prices, and credit terms; prepares sales contracts for orders obtained Travel throughout the assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, or talk with customers by phone Conduct 30/60/90 day follow-up for each lead Report on the progress of each lead Track closed sales Maintain records of all leads by date and by MPS Consultant Develop and maintain relationships with purchasing contacts What you bring to the table Bachelor\'s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred Exceptional attitude with a willingness to learn the business A “go get it” desire to succeed Knowledge of MS Office products An ability to relate to individuals at all levels; must be sensitive to corporate needs and public image Ambitious, self-starter attitude with a motivation to excel in the role What can DEX provide to you Growth, development and lucrative career opportunities In-house training Company culture where we celebrate our team members A place where you can build a career, not just have a job The preceding job description outlines the general nature of work performed, the level of knowledge and skills typically required, and usual working conditions.
