Job Description

TalentLogistiX is immediately seeking skilled Roofer in the West Lafayette, IN area to join our winning team! We offer steady work , above average wages with weekly pay for those with the skills and knowledge to help our clients achieve their goals.

Pay Rate: $21.88/hr

Location: West Lafayette, IN 47907

Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm (some OT may be required)

Roofer Responsibilities:

Perform repair and replacement of slate, tile, metal, built up roofing, various singly ply systems, shingles, gutter and downspouts.
Reroof small sections of roof areas with slate, tile, metal, built up roofing, various singly ply systems, or shingles.
Waterproof bases for fans, ventilators, and other building systems.
Inspect roofs to locate the source of a leak or damage.
Determine equipment, material, and resources needed to perform the repairs.
Make temporary repairs and schedule permanent repairs to minimize the interruption of activities.
Perform semi-annual preventative maintenance inspections of building maintained by Physical facilities.
Uses standard sheet metal tools and methods to repair or replace flashings

Roofer Qualifications:

3 – 5 years of previous roofing experience.
Knowledge of materials, methods and tools involved in repair or replacement of various roof systems (Slate, tile, metal, built-up roofing, various single ply systems, shingles, gutters and downspouts)
Strong verbal communication skills required.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings and schematics required.
Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects.
Must be able to work from ladders, scaffolds, and lifts at heights up to 100 feet.
Valid driver's license required.
