Registered Nurse, Women's & Children's Float Pool at Community Medical Center summary:

A Registered Nurse (RN) in the Women's & Children's Float Pool provides specialized nursing care and patient advocacy in clinical settings, primarily serving neonatal, pediatric, and obstetric patients. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while managing patient loads and mentoring assistive staff. The role requires state licensure, relevant clinical experience, and adherence to healthcare protocols to ensure patient wellbeing and safety.

Women's & Children's Nurse Float Pool (RN)

Status/FTE: FT / 0.8-1.0

Shift length: 12 hours

Start Time: 1900

Unit: Women & Children's Nurse Float Pool

Schedule Requirements (including weekends, holidays): Three (3) 12-hour shifts and every 3rd weekend

Required qualifications:

• Current state RN license

• Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school

• BLS for Healthcare Provider and ACLS upon hire

• One (1) years' experience in NICU, Peds, or OB

Preferred qualifications:

• BSN preferred

Additional Information/Department information: The RN utilizes the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care of patients from admission to department through discharge or transfer. Provides expert care and education to patients in clinical setting, acts as a patient advocate, leader, and mentor for assistive personnel. The RN is knowledgeable in clinical nursing procedures, disease processes, interventions, and pharmacological agents. Manages patient loads in assigned timelines.
