* _Summary:_**

The RN Lactation Consultant provides knowledge in the practice of lactation management. Diagnoses lactation problems, plans and implements intervention and evaluation outcomes. Conducts prenatal breastfeeding classes and evaluates educational outcomes. Provides consultation and outpatient care for families experiencing difficulty breastfeeding. Serves as a consultant for healthcare providers concerning lactation as it relates to patient’s health problems.

*_Requirements:_**
*A. EducationSkills**

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Excellent oral and written communication skills. **B. Experience** Previous RN experience in Women’s Services. Previous experience as a Lactation Consultant preferred. **C.
