Property Claims Adjuster
Property and Casualty Insurance
Responsible for managing and adjusting first party property claims of a moderate level of complexity, arising under All Risk and Builders Risk coverages for policies. Investigate and adjust assign claims with a high-level of integrity, quality and technical expertise while insurance, prompt and equitable settlement of claims within the parameters of the companies, policies and guidelines.
Minimum three years of experience working in insurance, the energy industry or with large commercial property insurance claims. Experience with claims adjustment and litigation procedures related to all risk, builders risk, business interruptions, extra expense, expediting expense, indoor additional coverages desired. Experience with renewal energy related claims a plus. Undergraduate degree a degree in engineering discipline a plus. Property adjusters license desired. Insurance designations plus. Applied knowledge of the elements of a property claim and related policy coverages. Working knowledge of the national and international insurance markets, as well as independent, adjusting firms, consulting, engineers, forensic, accounting, firms and council that specialize in energy claims. Proficiency and Microsoft Office specifically wood and Excel. Travel requirements approximately 25%.
