Job Description

Production schedulers use their knowledge of the production process to create Monthly production schedules. They must be able to understand MRP reports and other reports to make a workable production schedule. They will work with various production departments and Purchasing to generate effective schedules.

Must be able to multitask and provide quick responses to production problems and shortages. Heavy use Sage or similar ERP/MRP systems along with Reporting software and Excel is required for generating reports and schedules. Because of that, a successful production scheduler must have an aptitude for computers.

Prior scheduling, inventory or manufacturing experience is a plus.

This position works primarily in an office setting during normal business hours.

Production Scheduler Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain schedules.
  • Use resources in the most effective manner.
  • Provide quick responses to production issues.
  • Use various pieces of software to generate reports and schedules.
  • Ensure that company deadlines are met.

Production Schedule Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree in management or prior experience.
  • Experience in production.
  • Multitasking.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency with computers including keyboarding skill.
  • Ability to create and understand reports in order to make production decisions.
  • A desire to promote the success of Dakota Digital.
