We are seeking a Private City Club Food & Beverage Manager to join our team! This is the #2 position, responsible for managing the Club’s service and bar staff. Responsibilities include all operational functions of the dining and special events necessary to ensure the Club’s standards of service are delivered everyday. Works closely with the Member Services Coordinator and Executive Chef to ensure the success of member functions and catered events. Weekly and annual hours of operation are significantly less than other restaurants and clubs.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate all dining activities
• Oversee member dining services providing exceptional and WOW experiences
• Ensure impeccable, white-table cloth service with a soft, friendly and welcoming touch
• Train and manage service staff
• Create dynamic and popular wine and bar program
• Manages department within budgets and established guidelines
• Oversee the daily detail and maintenance of the 181 year old Georgian mansion and carriage house
• Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations

​ Qualifications:

• Creative, welcoming with an innate service attitude
• Previous management experience in fine dining and/ or private club service 
• Strong leadership qualities
• Office management skills, including but not limited to, word and spreadsheets, basic graphic design (menus and simple advertising), and POS (operations and programming)
• Self Starter with the desire and ability take ownership of the department and club operations
  • Excellent written and communication skills with proven success developing and maintaining interpersonal relationships with staff and membership
• Strong attention to detail

Hours of Operations:

• Generally open for lunch Tuesday-Friday; dinner Thursday-Saturday (reservations required. The Club does not open without prior reservations made.) Closing time is rarely after 9 or 10:00 PM
• Traditionally closed July and August, and between Christmas and New Years.
• Club events: the Club host 10 +/- speaker, music, wine and member only parties a month
• Catering events: the Club commonly hosts rehearsal dinners, showers and weddings, and other private events through out the month.
