What is my role?

The Screen Print Operator is responsible for operating screen-printing machines to produce high-quality printed garments. This role involves preparing screens, mixing inks, setting up machines, and ensuring that all prints meet company standards for quality and accuracy.

What You'll Do

Machine Operation:

• Set up and operate screen printing machines.
• Load and unload garments onto printing equipment.
• Adjust machine settings to meet job specifications.
• Monitor machine operation to detect and resolve issues.

Screen Preparation:

• Coat, expose, and reclaim screens.
• Ensure screens are properly aligned and registered.
• Inspect screens for damage or imperfections and make necessary repairs.

Ink Mixing and Application:

• Mix inks to achieve desired colors and consistencies.
• Load inks into screens and apply them evenly across substrates.
• Maintain proper ink viscosity and consistency.

Quality Control:

• Inspect printed products for quality, accuracy, and completeness.
• Make necessary adjustments to maintain print quality.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Workflow Management:

• Follow production schedules and meet deadlines.
• Maintain accurate records of production quantities and times.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of jobs.

Health and Safety:

• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

What You'll Need

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in screen printing or a related field preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Ability to operate and maintain screen printing equipment.
• Proficiency in mixing inks and understanding color theory.
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment.
