Location: Harrisburg, PAJob Type: Part-time | 20-25 hour a weekCompensation Range: $25 - 28 per hourWe are seeking a Print Production Artist to serve as the vital link between creative vision and physical reality. In this role, you will be the detail-oriented specialist responsible for transforming creative concepts into flawless, precision-ready files for production.This position requires a unique blend of high-level graphic design proficiency and deep technical prepress expertise. You will focus heavily on large-scale signage, variable data mailing, and complex data management, ensuring that every technical specification is met before projects hit the press.If you thrive in the technical nuances of print—from managing complex data sets to preparing intricate layouts for production—we invite you to apply!Responsibilities:Essential Functions & ResponsibilitiesVariable Data & Mailing: Manage complex mailing projects from start to finish. This includes processing mail lists, setting up base documents, and ensuring all artwork adheres to strict USPS postal regulations.Signage Pre-Press: Prepare and scale graphics for wide-format signage, ensuring proper resolution, bleeds, and finishing marks for various substrates.Data Management: Utilize Excel to clean, organize, and format data for variable printing (VDP) and mail merges.Production Artistry: Manipulate, edit, and troubleshoot native files (InDesign, Illustrator) to ensure they are optimized for offset, digital, and inkjet output.Imposition: Set up approved files for maximum production efficiency across different press types.Quality Assurance: Perform rigorous pre-flighting to catch errors in fonts, color profiles, and layout before they reach the production floor. Qualifications:Software Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Illustrator is non-negotiable.
