Position Description :

Develops and maintains automated tests and in-house software utilities through hand-coded test automation, using SQL, XML, HTML, JavaScript, Java, and Python. Tests distributed applications at multiple layers of the technology stack, using Web Services testing tools and frameworks -- Junit, TestRunner, Selenium (TestNG), and Rest Assured. Develop and maintains test automation for mobile application using Java with Appium tools. Delivers accurate and maintainable code for test automation and software utilities and using Git. Uses business knowledge to translate the vision for divisional initiatives into QA business software testing requirements and conducting studies of alternatives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Participates in architecture design teams.

  • Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and reviews and validates test plans.

  • Design and develop test automation frameworks.

  • Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables.

  • Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.

  • Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget.

  • Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects.

  • Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for multiple projects.

  • Acts as a primary liaison for individual microservices to resolve various project/technology issues.

  • Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluation estimates on technology initiatives.

  • Advises senior management on testing strategy.

  • Mentors junior team members.

  • Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.

Education and Experience :

Bachelor s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) performing automated testing of Angular front-end Digital and Mid-Tier applications in a financial services environment.

Or, alternatively, Master s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) performing automated testing of Angular front-end Digital and Mid-Tier applications in a financial services environment.

Or, alternatively, No Degree and seven (7) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) performing automated testing of Angular front-end Digital and Mid-Tier applications in a financial services environment.

Skills and Knowledge :

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") performing automated testing of Mobile application testing using Java, Appium /Selenium for both Android, and iOS platforms in cloud environments.

  • DE performing automated testing of Digital Web User Interface (UI) applications, SOAP, and REST Services for large-scale financial services systems, using Java, JavaScript frameworks, SOAPUI, and Rest Assured Frameworks.

  • DE creating Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, using Git, Junit, Maven, and Jenkins.

  • DE creating test automation frameworks using Karate for microservices testing.
