Pipefitter

Location: New Castle, DE

As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for inspecting, sizing, and installing pipe in a variety of applications. This includes: water, gas lines, process piping and other similar projects. We're looking for someone who has a strong work ethic and enjoys the outdoors.

Duties include:
-Install, assemble, and maintain piping systems, including pipes, valves, fittings, and fixtures for mechanical systems.
-Interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications to determine layout and installation requirements.
-Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to precise specifications.
-Ensure that all piping systems are installed according to local building codes and safety standards.
-Inspect and test pipe systems for leaks, damage, and functionality.
-Troubleshoot and repair piping systems as needed.
-Collaborate with other trades and construction team members to ensure seamless project completion.
-Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety guidelines and OSHA standards.
-Operate and maintain tools and equipment required for pipefitting tasks.

Job Requirements

Requirements :
-High school diploma or equivalent.
-3+ years of experience as a pipefitter in commercial or industrial settings.
-Strong knowledge of pipefitting techniques, materials, and equipment.
-Arc welding techniques, including shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), and tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding skills required
-Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
-Familiarity with local building codes, OSHA safety standards, and industry regulations.
-Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail.
-Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
-Ability to lift heavy materials, work in confined spaces, and stand for long periods.
-Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites.
-Experience with HVAC and plumbing systems.
-Journeyman/Certifications are a plus!
