As a Palliative Care Physician, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. In this role, you will join a passionate and energetic team of one full-time Palliative Care Physician, one APP, as well as a dedicated RN, LCSW, and Chaplain – they function like a family and care deeply about their patients. Practice at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction, CO. The Palliative Service is open Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm, with no call. Play a critical role on a busy service with around 8 consults a day. Work closely with local hospice agencies including one with a beautiful 13 bed inpatient unit when needed. Make a significant and powerful impact on people and their families during times of need. In addition, we offer paid time off, license reimbursement, malpractice insurance coverage, and an annual CME allowance to support your continuous growth and development. Compensation includes an annual salary of $260,000, relocation up to $20,000, and a starting bonus of $30,000. Requirements include MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine, ABMS board certification or eligibility in Family, Internal, Palliative Medicine, experience with inpatient adult consult services preferred, active unrestrictive Colorado medical license or ability to obtain one, BLS and ACLS certification and DEA, and ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process. The system includes 33 hospitals, 385 clinics, and a medical group with more than 5,000 employed physicians and advanced practice providers across seven states in the mountain west. The job is located at St. Marys Regional Hospital, Grand Junction, Colorado, a 346-bed Level II trauma center and the largest medical center between Denver and Salt Lake City. The position is full-time with scheduled weekly hours of 40.
