Job Summary

Geisinger’s Nutrition and Weight Management Department is seeking an advanced practitioner to join our team at the Geisinger Healthplex Clinic in State College, PA

Job Duties

This Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will provide services to patients and families in the Nutrition and Weight Management Clinic in accordance with established organizational policies and professional standards. Performs in collaboration and supervision of the physician, diagnostic and therapeutic tasks to allow the physician to extend his/her services through the more effective use of the physician assistant's knowledge in the sphere of decision making required to establish a diagnosis and plan therapy. Meets the qualifications to provide care for patients in the specific age range on her/his assigned clinical area.

Performs duties to provide the highest level of patient care and maximize patient satisfaction.

Reports to the Chief Advanced Practitioner, Nutrition and Weight Management.

Experience with eating disorders preferred

Education

Master's Degree-Physician Assistant (Required)

Certification(s) and License(s)

Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body; Certified Physician Assistant - National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
