Shifts will primarily be during daylight/evening hours, with occasional night shift coverage. This position will also be responsible for weekends and holidays. \n \nResponsibilities:
\nPrepare, calculate, and dispense medications for inpatient/outpatient care in compliance with regulations.
\nIdentify and report adverse drug reactions; promote rational drug therapy and sustain the formulary.
\nReview patient records for allergies, interactions, and duplications; verify medication orders.
\nSupervise pharmacy technicians, aides, and interns; organize daily operations.
\nCommunicate with healthcare providers to clarify orders and provide drug information.
\nAdhere to regulatory standards and hospital policies; deliver pharmaceutical care.
\nUtilize technology for prescription orders and sterile IV preparation using aseptic techniques.
\nEducate healthcare professionals and pharmacy students via programs and drug information resources.
