Position Title: Painter
Wage: $24.00 - $27.00/Hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 6:00AM – 2:30PM

Painter Responsibilities: - Paint surfaces of steel/metal parts using spray painting equipment using surface preparation and painting techniques
- Apply variety of coatings including epoxies, urethane, and polyurethane coatings from various paint manufactures
- Mix paint precisely to manufacturer, profile finishing and customer specifications
- Complete necessary paperwork for each job
- Clean and prepare part surfaces as specified to be contamination free
- Inspect parts prior to paint for needed repair, prepping and cleaning
- Mask parts to for overspray prevention
- Hang or set-up parts prior to painting
- Inspect parts after painting for needed repairs, proper thickness and general appearance
- Maintain paint equipment
- Utilize wet mil gauge to ensure the correct and consistent coat is applied to product and ensure proper substrate preparation
- Follow guidelines for correct disposal of paint
- Use lifting equipment and/or forklift to move product to and from paint booth area
- Participate in regular paint inventory assessments
Requirements for Painter: - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, and procedure manuals
- Ability to communicate with other employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
- Works well independently and with others
- Ability to pass respirator clearance and undergo respirator fitment test
- Ability to be on your feet for up to approximately 8-12 hours per day
