Job Description
We are looking for dedicated and passionate individuals to join our team as Online Teaching Assistants (TAs) for our Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) program. The position focuses on assisting students in the "Certified Professional Biller Training" course.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide personalized one-on-one mentoring to students, offering guidance and support throughout the course.
Help students navigate course materials and ensure they understand the concepts covered in the program.
Monitor individual student performance through assignments, practical tasks, quizzes, and exams, and provide timely feedback to support their learning progress.
Use the learning management system to access course syllabi, assignments, and other resources to enhance student engagement.
Participate in live sessions via the virtual classroom platform, assisting instructors in delivering content and facilitating interactive discussions.
Adapt teaching methods to a variety of learning styles, ensuring students can connect theory to real-world applications.
Offer student consultations through office hours, scheduled appointments, or via virtual platforms, phone, or email.
Participate in orientation sessions to become familiar with internal policies, procedures, and the online teaching tools.
Respond promptly to student questions, with a commitment to providing feedback within 48 hours.
Qualifications:
A current and valid "Certified Professional Coder" (CPC) certification.
Previous teaching experience, particularly with adult learners or in a corporate training environment, is highly desirable.
Experience teaching online courses is an asset.
2-3 years of experience in medical coding, auditing, or a related field.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
Strong knowledge in the relevant healthcare discipline.
Proven success in teaching adult learners and creating an engaging, effective learning experience.
A dedication to excellence in mentoring and guiding students toward success.
Proficient in using technology for teaching and communication.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and respond to student inquiries promptly.
A collaborative and approachable attitude to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
Experience in teaching fully online or hybrid courses is preferred.
