Requirements About Oasis Oasis Baptist Church was founded in the Las Vegas Valley over 65 years ago with the intention of being a Home for the Family. It is our focus to be a welcoming place where families can enter a healthy community for spiritual growth.

Purpose of this Position •We are seeking to hire a part-time Worship Pastor who will lead our church family into Worship. Someone who would join the Oasis staff in our values of Honesty, Integrity, Loyalty, Passion, and Celebration
•We are seeking a young man with innovation and creativity to spiritually work with, lead, and coordinate our Worship Services at Oasis.
•One that would work with the Pastor, church leaders, and church to lead, develop, expand, and multiply opportunities for spiritual growth.
•One who loves to engage in a team environment, as well as develop others spiritually and in service.
•One who thrives in building teams to lead and guide others.
Responsibilities - Support the Lead Pastor in the overall vision casting and leadership, help teach, preach, and engage in weekend service planning.
- Lead and expand weekend services.
- Expand and develop the current worship ministry team at Oasis.
- The ability to identify, recruit, teach, train, spiritually support, and effectively supervise volunteers for Worship.
Worship Pastor Responsibilities •To plan, prepare, lead worship, and ensure there is a spiritually engaging and meaningful experience for Oasis and the community.
•Select and arrange worship songs. To appropriately select music that biblically aligns with Oasis, the theme, and the purpose of the weekend or series. To create a cohesive and impactful flow into worship.
•Lead, develop, and expand the worship team. From vocalists, musicians, and our tech team.
•Lead and direct music practice with the team. Providing direction and guidance
•Utilize a system for the volunteers and services. Something like Planning Center or Elvanto.
•The heartbeat of Oasis is that We Grow Together, and the ultimate desire of the Worship Pastor would be to continue to cultivate and foster this heartbeat of worship in each of our services.
General Pastoral Responsibilities •Being a part of the Pastoral staff of Oasis we will all work together in several areas of ministry that will be outside of the scope of any individual job. To include but not limited to
- Outreach strategies for reaching our community
- Pastoral care such as hospital visits, phone calls, and counseling among other pastoral duties.
- Attend regular Pastoral Staff Meetings and lead regular Development Staff meetings
- Develop relationships with the Oasis Church Family
General Employment Requirements •Be in agreement with the statements of faith, mission, vision, and core values of Oasis Baptist Church
•Be a committed follower of Jesus with a lifestyle and reputation of Christ-like faithfulness.
•A humble and sincere call to serve Christ's church.
•Clear gifts in teaching, and a capacity to communicate effectively.
•Ability to inspire confidence in staff and volunteer leaders.
•Discerning, able to make a tough call, while maintaining healthy relationships with peers as well as those being supervised.
•Display both situational and personal awareness
•To be a Self-starter and team player
•To lead, integrate, and develop people of all spiritual walks of life.
•Communication/Teaching: Theologically sound with an ability to communicate spiritual truth in compelling and transformative ways in a Sunday morning service or other areas of ministry.
Education and Experience •We are seeking a younger man and or couple and we would be open to this being a first full time position.
•More than years of education and experience the heartbeat of this is a person who could grow with Oasis and continue to build a culture of Worship.
