Position Overview The Nurse Tech position is a paid role available upon hire, designed to support and accelerate skills learned in nursing school. MultiCare provides career planning and rotational experiences across various hospital units based on interest and availability. Educational opportunities are also provided to advance your career. Upon graduation, you will have the opportunity to apply for the MultiCare RN Transition to Practice Residency program, facilitating your transition from student to professional nurse. Employment conditions: Nicotine-free campus; contingent on passing a criminal background check and drug screen. Qualifications Must have completed at least one term and a clinical rotation in an accredited program. Per-diem/on-call, non-benefit eligible, non-union position. Hospital rotations every 18 weeks. Availability to work 4, 6, 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts during the school year, with at least one shift per week. Pay rate: $20.00/hour, no benefits. Additional Benefits and Opportunities Optional $2500 tuition assistance every 6 months after a 90-day probationary period, with a 6-month work agreement. Support for career exploration and working on units of interest. Post-graduation, encouraged to apply for RN Transition to Practice Residency. Position Details FTE: On-call; Shift: Variable; Schedule: Variable. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care under supervision, applying current health concepts and routine duties learned in your educational program. Contribute as a member of the unit nursing team. Stay updated on current nursing trends and apply this knowledge. Attend required meetings and classes. Apply knowledge from biological, physiological, behavioral, and sociological sciences. Minimum Requirements Enrolled in an accredited RN program with at least one clinical term completed, or a graduate awaiting NCLEX results. Current Nursing Technician Registered credential. Documentation of clinical competencies from nursing coursework. Current BLS certification.
