We are looking for a wonderful, committed, loyal, and child-led creative and alternative LIVE OUT nanny to join an amazing holistic family who live in Los Angeles but also spend some time in the summer in London. We have three children ages 6, 3, and 16 months and the role will involve working in a team with the mum and dad, who is very hands-on and another nanny. You will each focus on one or two children at a time. We are looking for a child-led nanny who has a Steiner or Waldorf knowledge or background, a holistic approach, and who loves working in a positive way with children providing them with opportunities to learn and grow through learning experiences. We follow a gentler parenting approach with natural consequences and like to explain to the children rather than have punishments. The ideal candidate will be totally focused on the children and have a positive, proactive, gentle, engaging, and imaginative approach. Both parents work flexibly and often from home, so they want the nannies to be confident in taking complete sole charge, taking their own initiative, and having excellent communication skills to work with the members of the household. The parents love to be involved as much as they can when they are not working. It is essential you are honest, kind, effortless, integral, and trustworthy. The role will include taking responsibility for all general organization for the children and arranging stimulating and engaging age-appropriate activities. We would also love the nanny to sometimes cook creative healthy, fresh meals from scratch for the children and to value their health-conscious diet. It is important for the candidate to be active and health-conscious. Minimum Requirements: All nursery duties. Minimum of 8 years experience working with multiple children using a holistic child-led approach. Planning and arranging age-appropriate activities. Preparing healthy meals for the children and cleaning up after. Keeping all children’s areas tidy and organized. Taking the children to and from activities/days out by driving. Travel approximately twice per year. Liaising with other members of the household and working in a team. Flexibility to stay overnight if ever needed. Flexibility in general is required. Successful applicants must be happy to live in both London and LA. Speak a fluent level of English. Be able to swim.
