Job Title: Microsoft Exchange Consultant (with Security Focus)
Location: Remote
Position Type: Contract
Duration: 12 months

Job Description:

• We are seeking a highly skilled Microsoft Exchange Consultant with extensive expertise in Microsoft Exchange and security configurations to join our team.
• The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft 365, and security best practices within large enterprise or government environments.
• They will play a crucial role in implementing and supporting email infrastructure security initiatives and ensuring the overall health and security of the email environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and support email infrastructure security initiatives, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.
• Work within a government or large enterprise environment, managing the setup, configuration, and security of Microsoft Exchange and associated tools.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather requirements and design email security solutions tailored to organizational needs.
• Implement and configure SPF, DKIM, and DMARC to improve email security and prevent phishing or spoofing attacks.
• Provide expertise in Microsoft Exchange architecture, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Document configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure that solutions are sustainable and easily maintainable.
• Define step-by-step processes to implement and maintain security initiatives across the organization.
• Maintain high standards of communication and documentation to ensure all processes and solutions are clear and well-supported.
• Ensure the security of the existing infrastructure by managing vulnerability assessments, patches, and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot complex issues related to email delivery, security protocols, and user configurations.

Required Qualifications:

• Microsoft 365 Certified Messaging Administrator certification or similar Microsoft certifications (strongly preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Exchange administration, security configuration, and management.
• Proven expertise in implementing and supporting email security initiatives such as SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
• Solid experience in requirements gathering, design, configuration, and planning of infrastructure security tools.
• Strong communication and documentation skills to interact with cross-functional teams and produce high-quality reports and procedural documents.
• Experience working in government or large enterprise environments is highly desirable.
• Ability to define and implement standardized processes to ensure security standards are implemented, sustained, and maintained.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in complex, dynamic environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Microsoft Exchange hybrid and cloud-based solutions (e.g., Office 365 integration).
• Familiarity with additional email security frameworks and tools.
• Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) as they relate to email security.
